Research Methodology/Place of Internship

There are four ways of internship:-

  1. Based on secondary research,
  2. Based on actual visit to educational Institutes/for ICT assessments.
  3. Based on actual visit to Industries for full duration or for some short term durations
  4. Based on Market survey for Mobiles, consumer goods, electronics etc. either in Delhi or in the area where you stay/live/study or entire district/state/India
Alternative Options for Internships
The first one can be with actual working in CMAI office in Delhi or with working from hometown or other places.
The Second one is relevant to study ICT status of Engineering/management Colleges in your area (where you live or study) or the entire district or entire State or entire India, if the place selected for internship has substantial Engineering/management/technical colleges. In such case local conveyance expenses with some limitations and depending upon the progress can be reimbursed.
The third one can also be around the industries in your area or in any of established industrial areas in India or abroad.
The fourth one can be either your place, Delhi etc. depending upon your choice.
Research Internship
In case of research Internship, typically the study is based on secondary research coupled with some personal interviews/primary data. Secondary data is now available on plenty on web and libraries. So there is hardly any need to say from which office the internship shall commence. Yet for all purposes the official address during training would be P 90 B Basement, NDSE II, New Delhi 110 047. All meetings/interviews etc. would be at this office. However we welcome trainees to visit and stay for the entire duration of their internship in our office if, they so wish.
All non staying students from one Institute will get one chance of personal meeting or con call when topic etc. has been decided and students have finally decided to join (no withdrawal after that, otherwise complete ban for that Institute for future). In this the objectives of study and way forward etc. would be shared. Then a draft approach paper will be submitted by email, which will be replied within week’s time giving suggestions/comments. Draft final report to be submitted and week/10 days time given for approval. In between any queries/advice by email to be brief and to the point. Once every Sunday evening an email of status or progress to be sent.
Visit to office after pre fixing of time. Otherwise you are welcome but there must be a purpose of visiting.
